DTF (Direct to Film) printing prints your artwork onto a special film with water-based pigment inks, coats it with a fine adhesive powder and cures it. The finished transfer is then heat pressed onto the garment, leaving a soft, flexible print with sharp edges and rich colour.
Because the design is printed on film first, DTF works on cotton, polyester, blends, nylon and even leather, and on both light and dark garments without any extra setup.
How we produce your DTF order
Our team checks and prepares your artwork, prints the film on our in-house DTF printers in London, then presses every garment by hand at the right temperature and pressure for the fabric. Each piece is quality checked before it is packed.
When to choose DTF
Choose DTF when you need photographic detail or lots of colours on small to medium runs, or when you are printing on fabrics that DTG and sublimation cannot handle. For very large runs of simple one or two colour logos, screen printing can work out cheaper per piece.

DTF Printing Questions
Yes. A properly pressed DTF print will last 50+ washes without cracking or peeling. Wash inside out at 30 degrees and avoid tumble drying on high heat for the longest life.
No. You can order a single garment. Bulk discounts kick in from 25 pieces.
Yes. DTF includes a white base layer, so colours stay bright on black, navy and other dark fabrics.
Standard DTF orders are ready in 3-5 working days after artwork approval. Express and same-day options are available for artwork approved before 11am.
